Oh sure, I've got my excuses - I've been busy working on client websites; my wife has a list of "honey-do" chores and keeps me wearing my tool belt; I've got to go work on my sailboat..
But an ineffective website is like a sailboat with a hole in the hull, only it leaks money! Would you stand for an employee who only showed up on Fridays to collect his paycheck?
A lousy website is a lot worse than a lazy employee because chances are it's costing you more money than a bunch of employees. No, I know you're not paying much for it, I'm talking about the money you're not seeing because you don't even realize that your website could be making you much more than it is now.
Let me correct that statement - I don't just mean "could be" I mean "should be". Now, you could just hire me and I'd build you a new website, or redo your current one, and weave a gold thread of marketing and seo throughout your site; show you how to get links coming in; get your social network clicking and how to monitor your results so you can improve every month.
